Dina was born in Forest Hills Queens and raised in Queens, Forest Hills. She grew up there. But, she relocated to Dix Hills Long Island before the close of her junior year. Her brothers include Gregory, her elder brother, and Evan. Her first exposure to the industry of entertainment was when she did some modeling from ages nine to sixteen. Her acting career began with The Neighborhood Playhouse, New York. She studied the techniques of Sanford Meisner with Ron Stetson for three years. The other actors who received such education include Sandra Bullock, Michael Douglas, Jeff Goldblum, Leslie Nielsen, Diane Keaton, among other actors. Her first acting role came with Beverly Hills 90210. This led to her relocating into Los Angeles. Her first role was in Johnny Mnemonic. She did all the stunts of the film and made her an accomplished athlete and actress. The talent agent she worked with also represented Matt LeBlanc so, through her agent she was able to score a recurring role on Friends.
